NATIONAL EVENT "Marine interaction Burgas". Port of Burgas 118-th "Anniversary celebration"

The main agenda of event covered exhibitions of pictures from SaBS project development (spring of 2017 in Alexandroupoli), drawings of children, a cappella performance of Port of Burgas vocal group, conference online meeting with project partners and of course - visitation of the catamaran and pilot trips for participants at the event.
The event would not have been carried out properly without dedicated support from Port of Burgas JSC management and SaBS SFC Glarus team.
Students from Vocational school of marine sailing and fisheries – Burgas were the first to enjoy trips with the hybrid driven catamaran around the harbor area.
Officials, including mayor of Burgas and regional governor, journalists and general audience also enjoyed a sailing trip around the harbor area.
The event that gathered more than 100 people and was broadcasted by two National televisions and many local medias finished with presentation of info kiosk and routes of of Sabs project by Mr. Yanko Yankov – manager of Glarus SFC.
Sailing trips with SaBS hybrid driven catamaran across Burgas Bay in the directions Burgas - Sozopol (special observation of St. Ivan Island included) and Burgas- Nesebar is expected to be launched regularly mid June 2021.
During the trips essential information about the state of surface water - such as temperature, level of green algae and of oxygen, turbidity, etc. will be gathered via the OceanSense monitoring system mounted on the boat.
Floating Docks of the Port of Alexandroupolis

After the necessary safety measures, the new power and water pillars of the floating docks of the port of Alexandroupolis, have now been put into full operation and at the disposal of the yachts.
The devices operate fully automatically, using a prepaid card and extremely simple operation. With the completion of their installation, the new floating docks of the port now have all the required facilities for port users.
All the new facilities were funded by the SaBS project. We thank all our suppliers for the perfect cooperation, the technical perfection of the constructions and the fantastic result

3rd Steering Committee of the project “Sailing across the Black Sea – SaBS”

On Tuesday 23rd of July at 9:30am and in the premises of Port Authority of Alexandroupolis it will take place the 3rd Steering Committee of “Sailing across the Black Sea – SaBS” BSB 240 Project. Representatives of the 3 Project Partners are going to attend the Committee in order to share ideas and knowledge about the obstacles emerged and analyze project progress.
Ιnternational Networking, Dissemination and Promotion Event of the project “Sailing across the Black Sea – SaBS”

The International Networking event will take place on Wednesday (24) and Thursday (25) of July 2019 for the project partners and their guests.
On Wednesday (24) of July an open to the public presentation of the programme will take place followed by a short soirée.

On Friday 22 March 2019, at the premises of the Burgas Port Authority in Bulgaria took place the 2nd technical meeting of the project implementation committee (Steering Committee) Sailing across the Black Sea - SaBS which has been integrated and funded under the Joint Operational Programme “BLACK SEA BASIN 2014 - 2020”.
